Breakfast, then leave early
The hot buffet opens at 6:30 AM. Leave for the track earlier than feels necessary: US-1 and Speedway Boulevard back up well before green flag, and the 12-minute drive stretches with race traffic.

Everyone leaves at once. Dinner in Homestead or an unhurried hour anywhere beats sitting in the exit queue — the hotel is close enough that there’s no long haul waiting for you either way.

Everglades National Park and Biscayne National Park are each about 20 minutes from the hotel, and Key Largo is 35 — the rare race trip where the off day is this good.
