Everglades Alligator Farm

The farm combines the two things the national park deliberately doesn’t offer: airboat rides over the sawgrass, and up-close alligator shows and feedings on a schedule. Thousands of alligators live here, from hatchlings you can hold (photo included, kids delighted) to fourteen-foot seniors.

It’s the right call for families with young children or anyone short on time: an included airboat loop, shows through the day, and you’re done in about two hours — then the “real” Everglades is minutes away when you’re ready for the wild version.
